Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS): Supporting Student Mental Health
Mission of CAPS
CAPS's mission is to provide early identification and intervention for vulnerable youth who are at clinical high risk. Through comprehensive counseling and psychological services, CAPS aims to support the mental health needs of students as they navigate the challenges of higher education.
Services Offered
CAPS offers a wide range of services to support student mental health, including:
- Individual and group counseling
- Crisis intervention
- Psychiatric evaluations
- Medication management
- Wellness workshops and programs
Eligibility and Access
Currently registered UCLA students are eligible for CAPS services. To access services, students can call the CAPS appointment line at (310) 794-9265 or visit the CAPS website to schedule an appointment.
Additional Information
CAPS offers a variety of resources for students, including:
- The Patient Portal, which allows students to contact their CAPS providers about specific client needs
- Limited eligibility for CAPS services for one quarter following their final registered quarter
